Iranian SSF chief agents admits torture

The commander of the Iranian regime’s State Security Forces (SSF) admitted that his forces use torture in detention centers to obtain so-called confessions, adding that torturers have been told to avoid using “physical confrontation” in the future.

According to the state-run Fars news agency on Wednesday, SSF commander Esmail Ahmadi Moqaddam said, “We have taken a tough line at SSF so that technical means can be used to obtain confessions rather than physical methods. These tough measures have exerted pressure on agents.”
