Two doctors suspiciously killed in Tehran on two days in a row

Two Iranian physicians have mysteriously been shot and killed in Tehran two nights in a row, according to state-run news agencies on Thursday 23 September.

A specialist in infectious diseases and member of the University of Tehran’s faculty of medicine, Dr. Soudbakhsh, was shot as he was leaving his residence on Tuesday at 9 PM local time. The culprits reportedly left the scene on a motorbike and the victim died before reaching the hospital.

On Wednesday, a heart specialist, Gholamreza Sorabi, was shot in the stomach and chest while leaving his office. He died on Friday in hospital.

Clerical regime officials have so far tried to deny any link between the two murders.
